Who
is Harry Humle?
Just a guy who likes to write his thoughts down,
it's better to bitch and complain to a piece of paper than bitching to friends,
and bringing them down, so I never do that. Happy
go lucky, always drinking, smoking, and having fun. Humle is Danish
for beer. I'm not an alcoholic or anything, but people began to
call me HH some year ago and it just stuck!!! I never plan ahead for more
than one-day just cause I like surprises. Describe
your typical day?
I get up at 7am, shower, and eat breakfast,
watch X-Men cartoons, go to work at an advertising agency. It's fun most
times; you get a lot of challenges, so that's cool. I
come home at around 5 o'clock, kiss my girlfriend, and read my e-mails. Mostly
spam, but on occasions a few fan letters to :-) We eat about 7pm, she's
always making something with a few pounds of chili in it's.... goooood stuff.
If
I'm horny, we have sex, if not, we have it 2 hours later :-) Usually we
watch TV or go out if it's the weekend.

you choose your subjects or do they choose you?
They choose me!
I don't just sit down and write stuff, thinking "now I'm gonna write about a mocking
bird", I only write, paint or draw if I'm inspired by some that happened that
day
Why
Dark Horse?
I like dark horses and underdogs. They always fight their way up. You
seem to have a poetical approach to your work, why?
I like words
as much as I do visual artwork. Or even more.

What
is your most important goal in life as a person and as an artist?
As a person: happiness. You can never get 100 % happy, but right now
I'm close, tomorrow... Who knows? As
an artist: Just to make something that touches people. If
you could meet anyone, living or dead, who would you meet and why?
Kurt Cobain. And if I could we would have a jam session, and a couple
of beers. Nirvana is not only music, it's more like hardcore poetry with
some much passion, I can't explain it. What
is the biggest misunderstanding about you?
That I'm unhappy....
I'm not. People write me e-mails, that I should drop alcohol and
girls and find God. Well, I have dropped girls, but that's because of my girl,
not God. As for alcohol... Beer just tastes to damn good :-)

Who
have been some of your main influences as an artist and a person?
Kurt Cobain. Cause he rocks!! William Blake. This prophet and poet
is so good... In every line there's something true and appealing. W.H. Auden.
When you read his poems, your heart starts to cry, and you feel like you're in
love for the first time.He
does not write as odd and true seeing as Blake, but his poems are so sad
and beautiful, that you can read them again and again.... and the again. What
are your immediate plans for the future?
Have fun, take a trip
to Egypt and see the pyramids, paint, write, drink, smoke and have fun...... |
