Best Buy - I am Pissed!
Today I wanted to purchase a firewire adapter card for my laptop computer. I saw the card in one of your stores (Altamonte Springs, Florida) for $34.99. That store was far away, so I went to your store at Waterford Lakes. Of course, here it is $49.99. I asked a person there, and he said that on Saturdays prices are cheaper. I showed him my computer and he said it would in fact work and fit properly, so I took the card. He then said, “Yes, but this card does not come with a plug.” It needs a plug? “Yes, a power supply.”
I ask if they sell one, and he says, yes, but on the other side of the store. That’s pretty darn convenient. He walks off to get it for me, so I walk over to find a cable. When he comes back, he tells me that they no longer sell the power supply. So in other words, your store sells an appliance that one, doesn’t come with a plug, and two, you don’t sell the plug.
How in the HELL do you expect people to operate this device? I asked him this, and he told me that I could go to Staples or Radio Shack and buy one there. Nice of him to recommend ANOTHER store for me to go to so I could simply make the device I bought (which I didn’t) at Worst Buy to work.
