US Media Playing "Pass the Pasta Fagioli" with You How the US Media is wagging the American people and the Power of Truth slipping through the Internet! I
am never amazed on how twisted an election year can get. Politics can
be a sea of sharks and this year is no different.
I guess the biggest difference this year is that unlike 1968 or 1972 is 2004 and not 2000. A lot has rained since if you know what I mean.
As you know we are having this "Thing" happening in Iraq. We have cleaned the house from Hussein and a few other foes. That was well covered by the media, after all it gives great content. Now, somehow and to our disbelief, pictures of an obscure cult have surface shaking America from its foundation. Politicians are outraged, the military is embarrassed and the media is playing judge... and jury. At first, I thought big deal! What is so unusual about pictures of prisoners looking funny or indecent. So what if they are naked! So what if they posed in sexually explicit positions. They are the bad guys! Why should we treat them with any respect? They were going to kill us! The fact that the pictures are what they are should not play such big factor or furor. It's more the kind of stuff that was usually known as yellow back in the day. In the past, most news organizations would not even acknowledge such vulgar graphical display. I keep forgetting that Bill Clinton used to be the president and therefore the coverage must deep to lowest common denominator. Is that really a fair statement? Let's truly give equal time for equal impact. I wonder how come do we have to impact and affect so few people when in fact the real news are not been covered properly. The media today wipes their ass with negativity, filth and mediocrity. A few weeks ago, we learned about Pat Tillman and his courageous life until his unfortunate death. Now we will learn about what the rest of US military is doing in Iraq that the media does not want you to know. Thanks to the power of the people, the internet, we are able to get the real news about our country's initiatives in Iraq and the great work our soldiers are doing half a world away from home. A chain email has been appearing in people's mailboxes and it's not asking about enlarging your penis or selling you Viagra. The email contains a letter writen by a disgusted US soldier. Ray Reynolds, a medic in the reserves who served in Iraq wanted to report something with a bit more relevance. In my opinion, the real news of this war the majority of the US media organizations don't want you to know. Here is a list what he had to say:
"Don't believe for one second that these people do not want us there. I have met many, many people from Iraq that want us there, and in a bad way. They say they will never see the freedoms we talk about but they hope their children will. We are doing a good job in Iraq and I challenge anyone, anywhere to dispute me on these facts". Ray Reynolds, SFC, Iowa Army National Guard, 234th Signal Battalion. On behalf of widemag.com, we would like to congratulate SFC Ray Reynolds for telling us about the real good work the US forces in Iraq are doing for the country. In fact we should all feel proud of their work and forget the stupid bondage pictures some seem to be fixated on. Ok
CNN, New York Times and CBS News, report on that!
