Why
did you become a model? Modeling sort of just came to me. I
never planned on being a model but a co-worker of mine was forming the Midwest
Bikini Team about 4-5 years ago and asked me to be on it. I tried doing
some photo shoots and really enjoyed it, so here I am! Describe
your first photo shoot? My first photo shoot was with a photographer
who shot nearly all Hooter Girls. I figured, "what the hell, let's
try it". It was late summer and insanely hot outside. We shot at a local
park, mostly swimwear and casual. It was fun but in retrospect, I had no idea
what I was doing.
How
did Playboy magazine discover you? Playboy was scouting
for their "Girls of the Conference USA" issue, and they came to
my school (University of Cincinnati). I saw a flyer on campus advertising their
Open Call and set up an appointment. I nearly chickened out, but I went.
The rest is history! What
is the biggest difference between living in the Queen City (Cincinnati) and L.A.?
Easy answer: the weather- Nothing beats So-Cal weather.
Harder
Answer: The people- Especially in the entertainment industry, it is very hard
to meet down-to-earth and make friends. Describe
your most rewarding modeling experience? Every time I get a
piece of fan mail. I'll be smiling for a week! If
you could meet anyone, living or dead, who would you meet and why?
Johnathon Larson, Madonna, Kevyn Aucoin come to my head.
Any historical figure, "founding-father-type" would be amazing.
What
is the biggest misunderstanding about you? Probably that I am
"easy" or dumb. It seems to be a common belief that breasts and
brains can't come in the same package. What's worse is that it is also a common
misconception I sleep around or am "easier" than other women. Who
have been some of your main influences as a model and a person?
Julie Strain, Neriah Davis, Pamela Anderson, the photography
of Justice Howard and Tom Ruddock, Playboy and Penthouse
Magazines and my incredible husband. Where
do you see yourself 10 years from now? Somewhere living on lots
of land, with lots of animals and a studio. Traveling all over, all of the time.
Making
TV and film appearances, maybe even managing models or doing photography! The
best part is the not knowing... which means; anything is possible.
