What happened to the Catholic Church?

What has happen to the Catholic Church? What happen to the men of the Cloth? What should the Pope do?

The last few weeks have been a nightmare for the Catholic Church, their priests and really everyone.

As a lifelong Catholic, I feel embarrassed by these few men that have tainted the nobel profession of priesthood. It is beyond any comprehension the actions these men have caused. Even more shameful is the conduct or lack there of, that the leaders of the Church have pursued.

The Church, as an entity, has suffered a blow of biblical proportions. Their actions have been far less than admirable. The actions of a few have made me sick, the cover up its without any shame, even worst.

It really sickens me that men that we give so much trust with our children and everyone in general could do these evil acts. It's very troubling to see how the brotherhood system worked here and as most kept deaf ears.

The Pope made a call to all American Cardinals to go to Rome and try to find a way to not only fix the problem, but also to give American Catholics, a reassurance that these things will be taken care of.

What's next for Catholic America? How is the Church going to resolve this matter? Will celibacy become a thing of the past for priests? Will they allow women priests?
